The LATE Liepaja Conference 2019 “Changes and Challenges: English Language Teaching and 21st Century Skills” on Wednesday, 23rd October 2019 at Liepaja Raiņa Secondary School Nr.6, Ganibu Street 106 in Liepaja. Teachers received a certificate for 8 hours of professional development.
During the conference teachers had the chance to attend seminars and workshops, meet and talk to their colleagues and get acquainted with the materials from Pearson, National Geographic Learning and Macmillan. The speakers were: Lauren Anderson (U.S. State Department, English Language Fellow in Riga), Ieva Pudāne (Pearson), Zane Šķiņķe (National Geographic Learning/Macmillan), Tatjana Ginzburg (Express Publishing), Jacek Lagun (Macmillan), Rasma Mozere (University of Latvia), Thomas Springer (Ventspils University of Applied Sciences), Maija Ročāne (Liepaja Secondary School No 15), Edmons Gruduls and Edgars Grīnis (Liepaja Raiņa Secondary School No 6), Robert Buckmaster (LATE Vice-president), and Inga Linde (LATE President).
